Huawei will also launch the Mate 90 Pro Max Wind Edition.

Huawei will officially release the new Kirin 2026 chip next month, which is equipped with exclusive Tao Law technology. The highly anticipated Mate 90 series will be the first mass-produced model to be equipped with this self-developed flagship chip.

In addition to the standard version and the high-end flagship Master version, the Mate 90 series will also continue the previous product iteration route and launch a brand new Wind Chaser version. It is widely predicted that the final name of this new phone will be Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max Wind Chaser Edition.

The Wind Chaser Edition, specifically optimized for performance release, will undoubtedly push the Kirin 2026 chip to its full performance limit.

According to leaked configuration information, Huawei will equip the Mate 90 Pro Max Wind Edition with a custom active cooling module to completely solve the heat dissipation bottleneck during high-load operation and ensure that the chip performance can be fully released.

According to the technical details previously disclosed by the official sources, Huawei’s first Kirin 2026 chip follows Huawei’s exclusive Tao Law technology route.

Through its unique dual-layer vertical stacking scheme for transistors, it achieved an overall increase of 53.5% in transistor density and a simultaneous increase of 41% in energy efficiency. Ultimately, its overall performance is equivalent to that of mainstream 3nm flagship chips in the industry. Without the authorization of top-tier advanced process technology, it has managed to catch up with the international first-tier process technology level through architectural innovation.

This independent technology route, which completely bypasses the blockade of advanced manufacturing processes and achieves superior performance through underlying architecture innovation, once again demonstrates the depth of technological accumulation of Huawei’s self-developed chip team. Many digital enthusiasts are already looking forward to the actual performance test results after the first release, wanting to see what kind of user experience upgrade the Mate flagship phone equipped with the new generation Kirin chip can bring.
