According to Fast Technology on October 6, Xiaomi has adjusted the release schedule for the Xiaomi 18 series this year. The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be launched first, while the standard version is expected to be officially unveiled in December.
Today, tech blogger “Smart Pikachu” revealed that the Xiaomi 18 standard edition will adopt the family’s rectangular Deco design, without a back screen or privacy protection.
The blogger also revealed in the comments section that the Xiaomi 18 standard edition is currently testing an 8000mAh high-capacity battery.
Previous reports indicated that the new phone would be equipped with a 7200mAh battery, supporting 100W wired fast charging and wireless charging, but the final battery capacity is still pending official confirmation.
It is understood that the Xiaomi 18 standard edition is expected to be equipped with a 6.4-inch 1.5K flat screen, using M11 luminescent material, while maintaining a relatively compact body size and further improving battery life.
In terms of performance, the new phone is equipped with Qualcomm’s sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra, which is built using TSMC’s 2nm process.
The Xiaomi 18 standard edition is expected to see a significant upgrade in imaging capabilities, adopting a dual 200-megapixel imaging solution for the first time, and being equipped with a periscope telephoto lens for the first time on the standard edition.
The new phone will feature a 200-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.28-inch large sensor, along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 200-megapixel 3x optical periscope telephoto lens, forming a dual 200-megapixel triple-camera setup.
