Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17e in the early months of 2026. According to a new report from Korea we now have some additional details about the phone’s screen. The report says that the screen will be made by BOE, Samsung Display and LG Display with BOE expected to handle most of the manufacturing.
The display on the iPhone 17e is expected to be the same LTPS OLED panel that was used in the iPhone 16e. The only change will be thinner bezels around the display. According to sources Apple expects to ship nearly 8 million iPhone 17e devices in the first half of next year.
Reports suggest that the iPhone 17e will include an 18MP selfie camera the same one that first appeared on the other iPhone 17 models last September. The device is also expected to be powered by the A19 chip found in the iPhone 17 while the main rear camera will likely stay at 48MP, just like the iPhone 16e. In terms of pricing, the iPhone 16e is available in 128GB with 8GB RAM for around $351.50 or €550.63 and 256GB with 8GB RAM for $523.47 or €628.40. On the other hand, the iPhone 17 starts at 256GB with 8GB RAM for $989 or €891.09 and the 512GB model costs €1,199 or £999.
