Merchants are selling counterfeit W26 phones as new! China Telecom responds.

Fast Technology reported that the official Weibo account of “Heart for the World – China Telecom” issued a “Solemn Statement Regarding the Unauthorized Use of Our Company’s ‘Heart for the World’ Trademark to Counterfeit Products”.

According to the statement, China Telecom Terminal Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “China Telecom Terminal”) discovered that some merchants were engaging in malicious infringement by replacing the back cover with counterfeit versions bearing the “Heart for the World” trademark and selling the old W series products as the new Heart for the World W26.

China Telecom Terminal stated that this behavior not only infringes on the company’s registered trademark “心系天下” (Xinxi Tianxia), but also seriously disrupts market order and is highly likely to mislead consumers into making incorrect purchasing decisions.

China Telecom Terminal solemnly declares: The aforementioned counterfeit Heart-to-the-World W26 series products, which are made by replacing the back cover, are not officially produced by our company. Our company and its affiliated units (including but not limited to holding subsidiaries, branches, and affiliated cooperative enterprises) have never designed or produced such counterfeit products, nor have they authorized any third-party organization or individual to design, produce, or sell such counterfeit products.

China Telecom Terminal will adopt a zero-tolerance attitude towards any infringement of the “Heart for the World” trademark rights of China Telecom Terminal and will resolutely pursue all legal responsibilities of the infringing party in accordance with the law.

It is understood that starting in December 2008, Samsung partnered with China Telecom to launch its W699 mobile phone, marking the beginning of truly high-end business phones priced over 10,000 yuan.

Starting with the Samsung W20, the W series, which focuses on the world, has been designed based on Samsung’s foldable screen phones.

In October of this year, the Samsung W26, embodying the spirit of serving the world, was officially released, with prices starting at 16,999 yuan.

As the most powerful foldable screen in the W series, the Samsung W26 supports Tiantong satellite communication, features a 6.5-inch external screen and an 8.0-inch internal screen, a 200-megapixel wide-angle main camera, and is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Ultra (for Galaxy).
