iPhone Air is here! Beijing Telecom announces eSIM plan availability starting September 19th

Beijing Telecom’s official Xiaohongshu account recently announced that Beijing Telecom has the ability to activate eSIM, and the eSIM service will be available for experience on September 19th when the new phone goes on sale, and the package rates and benefits remain unchanged.

The activation steps are as follows:

New users: Bring your iPhone Air and ID card to apply for eSIM mobile phone network service

Existing users can replace their eSIM cards by bringing their iPhone Air and ID card .

It is understood that Beijing Telecom sales staff will assist users in applying for the eSIM function throughout the process, and it can be activated and used on the spot.

After enabling eSIM, if you need to switch to a non-eSIM terminal, you can apply to restore the physical SIM card service.

An eSIM phone can only handle two telecom signals at the same time, and the phone can be used again after disassembly.

Currently, all offline business halls of Beijing Telecom can handle it, and online processing is not supported. If you want to replace the card, disassemble the phone, or other eSIM phone services in the future, you also need to go to the business hall to handle it.

It is reported that in order to achieve extreme lightness and thinness, iPhone Air adopts eSIM technology uniformly worldwide, completely eliminating the physical SIM card slot to improve the utilization rate of the internal space of the body. This is also the first eSIM mobile phone in China.
