Liu Zuohu explains the design of the OPPO Find X9 Ultra: putting a real Hasselblad in your pocket.

OPPO officially announced the design of the OPPO Find X9 Ultra today.

Subsequently, OPPO’s Chief Product Officer, Liu Zuohu, published an article explaining the design concept of the new phone.

Liu Zuohu stated that the design of the Find X9 Ultra did not start with “looking good,” but rather with “taking good photos.”

When OPPO incorporates Hasselblad’s classic design language into its phones, it’s not just about a collaboration or a superficial tribute to the design; what it truly wants is to put a genuine Hasselblad in your pocket.

He emphasized that the highly recognizable circular module on the back of the Find X9 Ultra is not just decoration, but the starting point of the entire imaging system.

The proportions, boundaries, curvature, and texture of the modules are not for the sake of form, but rather to grow around the optical structure itself. Only when the design truly serves the image will the sense of professionalism not remain superficial.

Users will feel that the phone’s professionalism is not something that is simply piled up, but rather hidden in every detail that is actually touched: the coolness of the metal, the restraint of the lines, the precision of the order, and the very familiar orange color.

Liu Zuohu also pointed out that this generation of OPPO’s cooperation with Hasselblad is not limited to ID (industrial design). The two parties have extended from design to optics, and then to accessories and systems, forming a more complete creative chain.

Beneath the module lies a Hasselblad-certified lens array; beyond the module, there are also brand-new Hasselblad teleconverters to extend its capabilities.

From optics to feel, from composition to portability, OPPO aims to truly complete the imaging experience.

In addition, regarding the Hasselblad Earth Explorer Master Set, Liu Zuohu stated that it is not just a simple souvenir, but a set of equipment truly prepared for creation.

From teleconverters and custom phone cases to filter extensions, storage systems, and individual serial numbers and certificates, these details are not just for completeness, but also to give image creation a rare sense of prestige and ritual.
