OnePlus 16 enters trial production stage: touted as having phenomenal performance and gaming capabilities.

The OnePlus 16, the next flagship iteration of OnePlus, has entered the trial production stage. It has a battery capacity of 9000mAh, adopts a dual-cell battery solution, and supports full-power 100W flash charging. This is OnePlus’s most powerful digital flagship.

Previously at ChinaJoy 2026, OnePlus China President Li Jie revealed some details about the OnePlus 16. Reportedly, the OnePlus 16 will debut three exclusive gaming technologies: the OnePlus High Refresh Rate Screen, the OnePlus Gaming Core, and the OnePlus E-sports Triple Chip. Combined with a large-capacity battery and an efficient cooling system, it will maintain stable performance even during extended gaming sessions.

Li Jie emphasized that OnePlus’s three exclusive gaming technologies will receive a comprehensive upgrade and will debut on the annual flagship OnePlus 16. This will be OnePlus’s most powerful flagship ever, boasting a leading ultra-high frame rate (FPS) gaming experience. He expressed great confidence, stating that he aims to make the OnePlus 16’s performance truly phenomenal.

This phone will be among the first to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8E6 Pro flagship platform. This chip, manufactured using TSMC’s N2P process, is Qualcomm’s first 2nm mobile chip, boasting a 30% increase in transistor density compared to its predecessor, the 3nm chip, with significant optimizations in power consumption and sustained performance.

The Snapdragon 8E6 Pro reportedly features a third-generation Orion 2+3+3 tri-cluster octa-core CPU with 16MB of L2 cache, paired with an Adreno 850 GPU and 18MB of dedicated graphics cache, and supports LPDDR6 high-speed memory. It sets new records in on-device AI computing power, ray-traced gaming, and local large-model execution capabilities.

Considering the 2nm process and the significant increase in memory prices, the starting price of the OnePlus 16 is expected to rise noticeably. The new product will be officially unveiled in October, at which time more detailed information will be revealed.
