The OnePlus 16 features a comprehensive upgrade to its imaging system:

Fast Technology reported that OnePlus China President Li Jie stated that the OnePlus 16 is not only a flagship with peak performance, but also an all-around flagship rarely seen in its class, especially with a comprehensive upgrade in imaging.

According to reports, the OnePlus 16 is the first to feature a 200-megapixel main camera, equipped with a 1/1.4-inch large sensor and an F1.6 aperture.

In terms of telephoto capabilities, the new camera has been upgraded to a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor, supporting 3x optical zoom and 6x lossless zoom, covering scenarios such as long-distance shooting and group photos.

In addition, the OnePlus 16 is equipped with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and the front camera has also been upgraded to 50 megapixels for the first time.

In terms of algorithms, the OnePlus 16 is equipped with OPPO’s new generation LUMO light-condensing imaging system, which focuses on improving the performance of light, shadow, color and layering in landscape scenes.

Li Jie stated that the OnePlus 16’s imaging speed in 200-megapixel mode has also been improved, allowing users to quickly view the final image after pressing the shutter button. At the same time, high-resolution photos also provide more room for post-processing cropping and recomposition.

It is understood that the OnePlus 16 will be among the first to be equipped with the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra.

OnePlus has also partnered with Qualcomm to integrate the next-generation Gaming Core into the chip’s underlying structure, further unleashing its performance.
