REDMI 17C released: 799 yuan, MediaTek octa-core processor

The REDMI 17C was officially released today and is now available for purchase on e-commerce platforms such as Xiaomi Mall.

The REDMI 17C is available in two versions: 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB, priced at 799 yuan and 899 yuan respectively. This is the cheapest phone Xiaomi will release in 2026.

The REDMI 17C features a Starry Deco design with an elegant, upright body, and is available in three colors: black, sunset red, and ocean blue, balancing a comfortable grip and high recognizability.

The new device features a 6.88-inch eye-protection screen with a resolution of 1640×720, supports a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, full DC dimming, and has passed the German TÜV Rheinland triple eye protection certification, which can reduce the impact of blue light on the eyes.

In terms of core configuration,
the REDMI 17C is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.0GHz. The official claim is that it is “smooth and lag-free” and comes pre-installed with Xiaomi’s Surge OS 3.

In terms of imaging, the phone features a 13-megapixel main rear camera, which meets basic daily needs such as scanning QR codes and taking photos.

The REDMI 17C has a built-in 5160mAh battery, and the official claim is that the battery will still have no less than 80% capacity remaining after 1000 cycles.

Meanwhile, the new phone supports intelligent charging protection and multi-scenario charging optimization, and supports up to 18W wired fast charging.

In other aspects, the REDMI 17C also supports Xiao Ai (Xiaomi’s AI assistant) and Xiaomi Super Island, retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, and is equipped with a side fingerprint scanner.

It should be noted that this device does not support 5G networks.
