Redmi Reveals Turbo 5 Max Charging Capabilities Ahead of Pre-Order Launch

Ahead of the official introduction of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max in the Chinese market later this month, several new details about the smartphone have emerged, giving enthusiasts a better understanding of what to expect. In addition to these new details, the company has also publicly confirmed some of the device’s key specifications including the processor that powers it and the capacity of its battery.

The upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 Max is expected to come with support for 100W PPS wired charging, allowing users to rapidly recharge their device in a short amount of time. In addition, it will offer 27W reverse wired charging, enabling it to act as a power source for other compatible devices. Furthermore, the smartphone is expected to include bypass charging functionality to ensure safer and more efficient charging. Its massive 9,000mAh battery is designed for longevity and is claimed to retain peak performance for as many as 1,600 complete charge cycles.

The company has also revealed that the Redmi Turbo 5 Max will be backed by a five year warranty specifically for its battery providing added assurance to users about the long term reliability of the device. During an in-house endurance test comparing the smartphone to other devices, it was claimed that the Turbo 5 Max outlasted a rival device with a larger 10,000mAh battery by 43 minutes highlighting the efficiency of its power management system.

Redmi’s Turbo 5 Max is set to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset and will come with a dual camera arrangement on the back enhancing the device’s imaging capabilities.

Even though Redmi has not disclosed the official date when the Turbo 5 Max will become available, the company has already begun accepting pre orders through its official Xiaomi China website allowing interested buyers to secure the device in advance.
