Redmi Turbo 5 Max Debuts with Massive 9,000mAh Battery and Latest Dimensity 9500s SoC

Following several dozen hints and promotional teasers over the past weeks, the Redmi Turbo 5 Max has finally been officially launched in China. The new smartphone boasts an enormous 9,000mAh battery promising extended usage without frequent charging. Additionally, it is the first device in the world to be powered by MediaTek’s newly launched Dimensity 9500s chipset offering impressive performance and efficiency.

Under the hood the Redmi Turbo 5 Max features MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9500s chipset which is paired with as much as 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and a generous 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. This combination promise smooth multitasking and fast data access. To ensure the device maintain optimal performance under heavy use, it is equipped with large surface vapor chamber that effectively dissipates heat and keeps the phone running cool.

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max stand out for its exceptionally large 9,000mAh battery which provide long lasting power for demanding users. This powerhouse of a battery supports 100W wired fast charging allowing users to quickly top up their device when needed. Additionally, the device offers 27W wired reverse charging allowing it to charge other devices when necessary. To ensure both fast and safe charging, the device incorporates Xiaomi’s P3 fast charging technology and the advanced G1 battery management chipsets.

The smartphone sports a 6.83 inch AMOLED display at the front, offering a 12 bit color depth that produces more nuanced and vibrant colors. Xiaomi has incorporated its M10 luminescent material into the panel allowing it to reach a peak brightness of 3,500 nits for outstanding outdoor visibility. The display also a supports smooth 120Hz refresh rate HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for richer colors and contrast and a 480Hz touch sampling rate for highly responsive touch input making it ideal for gaming and multimedia use.

On the front the Redmi Turbo 5 Max comes with a 3D ultrasonic in display fingerprint sensor providing fast, reliable and secure access to the device. Right alongside it is a 20MP selfie camera that produces detailed self portraits and high quality video calls. On the rear, the phone feature a dual camera system. The primary camera is 50MP Light Fusion 600 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) for sharp and steady shot even in low light conditions. It is paired with 8MP ultrawide lens that allows users to capture expansive landscapes and group photos with ease.

Powered by HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 the Redmi Turbo 5 Max deliver a modern and responsive smartphone experience. It also features stereo speakers for richer audio, an infrared sensor for remote control functionality, dual SIM support and a robust IP69K rating for water and dust resistance. For connectivity, it offer Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6 and NFC capabilities. As of now, the device is available for purchase in China through Xiaomi’s official online store. Customers can choose from four attractive color options: Auspicious Cloud White, Ocean Blue, Sunshine Orange and Shadow Black.

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max starts at CNY 2,499 (approximately $360) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The higher end 12GB/512GB model is priced at CNY 2,799 (around $400). Meanwhile, the 16GB/256GB variant is offered at the same price of CNY 2,799 ($400) while the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version commands a price of CNY 3,099 ($445).
