Sony Xperia 1 VII to be released in May! Appearance revealed

The well-known whistleblower OnLeaks cooperated with XpertPick to draw a rendering of Sony Xperia 1 VII, which is expected to be officially released in May.

Let’s first look at the appearance. The new phone still maintains the family design that has been passed down for generations. This time there are only slight adjustments to the details, such as moving the flash down, and the overall change is not significant.

The front is equipped with a 6.5-inch hole-free OLED, which is what Sony has always insisted on. It still has the same 19.5:9 ratio as the previous generation, conforming to the mainstream, instead of using the ancestral 21:9 fish-eye screen.

It is worth noting that the resolution has returned to the ancestral 4K, which is the only ultra-high specification in the industry and supports a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.

It is reported that Sony cut off the 4K screen in the previous generation Xperia 1 VI because the 4K panel could not support dynamic refresh rate and could only be stuck at 60Hz or 120Hz, which was too power-consuming. Now Sony may have solved this problem.

In terms of performance, the Sony Xperia 1 VII will be equipped with Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition, providing 12/16GB of memory and 256/512GB of storage space options.

The body has a built-in 5000mAh+ battery and supports 30W fast charging.

The front camera is 12 million pixels, and the rear camera has three cameras: 48 million pixel main camera (OIS optical image stabilization) + 12 million pixel ultra-wide-angle + 12 million pixel periscope telephoto (70-200mm zoom).
