The flagship Xiaomi 14 series is back in top form! Battery upgrade service officially announced

The battery upgrade service for the Xiaomi 13 series was officially launched in May this year, covering three models: Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

This service, based on official compatibility, replaces older models with newer batteries of larger capacity, resulting in further improvements in battery life.

After the Xiaomi 13 series launched its battery upgrade service, many netizens hoped that the service could be extended to more Xiaomi phones.

Today, Xiaomi released a Q&A on its battery upgrade service, mentioning that support for Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro models is expected to be added in the fourth quarter of 2026. Please refer to the official announcement for details.

For reference, the upgraded battery capacities of the Xiaomi 13 series are as follows:

Xiaomi 13: The 4500mAh battery has been upgraded to 4850mAh, an increase of approximately 7.8% in capacity;

Xiaomi 13 Pro: The 4820mAh battery has been upgraded to 5361mAh, an increase of approximately 11% in capacity;

Xiaomi 13 Ultra: Upgraded from 5000mAh to 5500mAh, a capacity increase of approximately 10%.

Xiaomi stated that due to the increased capacity of the new battery, the charging speed remains the same under the same charging power, therefore the charging time of the new battery will be longer than that of the old battery.

For an older flagship phone, an official battery upgrade is a game-changer, allowing users to significantly improve battery life without replacing the entire device by replacing the battery with one of a larger capacity capacity.

Given that Xiaomi’s older flagship phones still offer sufficient performance, this service is expected to further extend the lifespan of older models and reduce the cost of upgrading for users.
