Blogger Shana Digital claims that Apple will release a more practical fitness device next year—the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The entire device will weigh more than 240g, becoming the heaviest iPhone in history, and the body will also be slightly thicker than the current one.
Looking back at the past three generations of iPhones, from the iPhone 15 Pro Max to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, their weights were 221g, 227g, and 231g respectively, showing a trend of increasing year by year.
In terms of thickness, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Pro Max are 8.25mm, 8.25mm, and 8.75mm thick, respectively.
If the leak is true, the iPhone 18 Pro Max will likely be around 9mm thick and weigh nearly half a pound, making it a “next-generation fitness device”.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is thicker and heavier, most likely due to Apple increasing its battery capacity. Additionally, the iPhone 18 Pro Max’s island area may be smaller, and it is expected to support a variable aperture. The phone is expected to be unveiled next September.
