vivo X300 Ultra Unveils Details of 200MP Periscope Telephoto Camera

After unveiling details about the main rear camera on the upcoming vivo X300 Ultra the company has now also disclosed the specifications of the phone’s telephoto camera. On top of these hardware details vivo showcased the X300 Ultra’s video capabilities at MWC giving attendees a first look at its recording prowess. These successive disclosures highlight vivo’s focus on delivering both strong still photography and advanced videography features.

vivo product manager Han Boxiao shared the details in a Weibo post confirming that the vivo X300 Ultra will include a fifth generation Zeiss 200MP periscope telephoto camera. The device uses a specially customized Samsung HP0 sensor designed to deliver sharp and vibrant image even at long distance. This latest revelation emphasizes vivo’s focus on elevating mobile photography standards with cutting edge hardware.

According to the company, the telephoto camera will make use of vivo’s BlueImage technology to enhance color accuracy, autofocus performance, power efficiency and HDR capabilities. With these enhancements users can expect more consistent image quality across a variety of shooting scenarios from landscapes to portrait shots.

The telephoto camera will also come with enhanced image stabilization. vivo claims the system can achieve up to 3 degrees of stabilization a notable improvement over the 1.2 degrees offered by the vivo X200 Ultra. This improvement allows the X300 Ultra’s telephoto camera to achieve CIPA 7.0 level stabilization. Such advancements are expected to greatly improve the clarity of both stills and video footage especially in dynamic shooting environments.

With enhanced stabilization the camera can achieve longer and more stable exposures allowing it to gather more light for brighter and more detailed shots. This feature is also expected to significantly enhance zoom performance in low light environments. As a result photographers can expect higher quality images and videos when shooting at night or indoor.

Additionally the telephoto camera will support enhanced focus tracking with motion capture at up to 60fps enabling it to follow fast moving subjects more accurately. This feature is designed to provide smoother video and sharper images in action packed scenarios. The device is expected to launch in China later this month and will make its global debut for the first time attracting attention from international consumers.
