Xiaomi is set to revolutionize the smartphone photography era with the introduction of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, featuring Leica’s flagship dual telephoto lenses, marking the dawn of a new era in smartphone photography with large apertures and dual telephoto capabilities. Scheduled for release on February 22 at 7 PM, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is Xiaomi’s latest imaging flagship, emphasizing its camera system as a core feature.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is equipped with two flagship telephoto lenses: a 75mm periscope telephoto lens with a large f/1.8 aperture supporting 3.2x optical zoom, and a 120mm periscope telephoto lens, which sees an improvement from the f/3.0 aperture of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra to f/2.5, supporting 5x optical zoom. Both lenses utilize the “Light Sensing Giant” IMX858 sensor, offering higher dynamic range, greater light intake, and exceptional macro performance.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature the new Leica Summilux optical lenses along with the second-generation one-inch image sensor, the Sony LYT-900. This sensor boasts 50 million pixels, with a super large 1/0.98-inch size and a single pixel size of 1.6μm. It also incorporates the second-generation variable aperture technology, with a maximum aperture of f/1.63, setting a new standard in smartphone photography.
