Xiaomi 15 With Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Expected To For Release In October

As we reported earlier Xiaomi 15 with its first snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will go into mass production by September, a new leak has emerged now unveiling the launch date of Xiaomi Mi 15.

The Xiaomi 15 series is set to be the first to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, with an anticipated launch around October this year according to a leak on Weibo. This move continues Xiaomi’s tradition of debuting flagship Qualcomm processors, aiming for a combination of low power consumption and large battery capacity.

The Xiaomi 13 series was introduced on December 11, 2022, with sales starting on December 14, while the Xiaomi 14 series launched on October 26, 2023, with sales commencing on October 31. It is expected that the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will follow the product strategy of their predecessors, with the standard version featuring a flat screen and the Pro version boasting a curved screen.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is notable for being the first to utilize TSMC’s 3nm process technology. Moving away from Arm’s standard architecture, it will employ the custom-designed Nuvia architecture, promising significant improvements in CPU and GPU performance.

Leaks suggest the Xiaomi 15 will have a 6.36-inch display from CSOT, with a resolution of 2760×1200, supporting a 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate. This technology allows for variable refresh rates across different screen areas, reducing IC power consumption by 15-20%.

Additionally, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is rumored to be testing satellite communication technology, offering connectivity in extreme scenarios without ground network coverage.
