Xiaomi Mi 16 leaked: Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship with the narrowest bezels

According to leaks, Xiaomi 16 uses a new LIPO packaging process. The Chinese name of LIPO is “low injection pressure overmolding”. By using polymer liquid materials to wrap the wiring area, the buffer protection area is eliminated, and an extremely narrow bezel is achieved. The visual experience is significantly improved, and the LIPO packaging also has better protection performance and consistency.

In addition, Xiaomi 16 is the first to launch Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship platform. This chip is manufactured based on TSMC’s 3nm process N3P. The CPU main frequency is 4.6GHz, the GPU is 1.2GHz, and it uses Qualcomm’s self-developed Oryon CPU. It integrates Adreno 840 GPU, and the GPU independent cache is upgraded to 16MB.

It is reported that Qualcomm will hold the Snapdragon Summit from September 23rd to September 25th, at which time it will release the flagship platform Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. According to the time calculation, the release time of Xiaomi 16 series should be between September 25th and September 30th.
