Xiaomi Mi 18 Standard Edition Appearance Revealed:

The Xiaomi 18 standard edition features an ultra-narrow four-sided flat screen with a size of approximately 6.4 inches. The back retains the classic square minimalist camera DECO design of the previous generation, with the module located in the upper left corner of the device, and the Magic Screen has been removed.

In terms of imaging configuration, the Xiaomi 18 standard edition will be the first to be equipped with a brand-new Leica 200-megapixel triple camera system, which is also the first time that Xiaomi has equipped a standard edition model with a 200-megapixel camera.

Its core advantage lies in its exceptional resolution. The ultra-high pixel count captures incredibly rich details in the image, allowing users to obtain clear, sharp, high-quality images even after significant cropping or recomposition, providing ample room for post-processing. Combined with pixel binning technology, it can also output bright images with high dynamic range in low-light environments, making its night scene performance highly anticipated.

Besides its imaging capabilities, another major upgrade of the Xiaomi 18 is that it is among the first to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8E6 flagship platform. This chip uses a modified 2nm process from TSMC’s N2P technology, which increases transistor density by approximately 30% compared to the previous generation 3nm solution, while reducing power consumption by 36% at the same performance level.

Its CPU is based on a self-developed third-generation Oryon architecture, featuring an eight-core tri-cluster design with two super-large cores, three performance cores, and three energy-efficient cores, and integrates an Adreno 845 GPU. It supports LPDDR5X memory and UFS 5.0 storage.

In terms of positioning, the Snapdragon 8E6 standard version focuses more on the balance between performance and power consumption, targeting the mainstream flagship market. With the dual support of a Leica 200MP triple camera and the Snapdragon 8E6, the Xiaomi 18 is expected to become the most powerful standard version model in its price range.

The phone will officially debut in the fourth quarter of this year, and will be released separately from the Xiaomi 18 Pro series.
