Xiaomi Mi MIX 5 specs: no rear camera, no holes in front and back full screen

Currently, Xiaomi mobile phones are mainly divided into digital series (such as Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 15), Civi series (such as Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro) and MIX folding screen series (such as Xiaomi MIX Fold 4).

However, in addition to these three series, countless Mi fans are still eagerly waiting for new phones in the regular MIX series. Many people still believe that this is Xiaomi’s true flagship series.

Recently, the whistleblower “Digital Chat Station” released speculation about the design and configuration of the new Xiaomi MIX phone: 2K LIPO four-sided straight screen, dual cameras integrated under the front screen, full-size secondary screen at the rear, conservatives have a hole in the rear camera, radicals directly cancel the rear camera, LaserLink contacts are used for detachable lenses, and the front and back are all hole-free full screens.

Of course, the above is just speculation and does not count as configuration leaks of Xiaomi MIX 5.

If Xiaomi really launches a model in a few years that eliminates the rear camera and has a full-screen display without holes on the front and back, it is more likely to be a concept phone.

Currently, the latest model in the Xiaomi MIX series is Xiaomi MIX 4, which was released in August 2021, and it has been about three and a half years since then.

This is a high-end mobile phone equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, equipped with a curved 1080P OLED screen, a 100-megapixel main camera on the rear, a front under-screen camera, and a ceramic body.

At the end of 2024, some information about Xiaomi MIX 5 was leaked on the Internet, indicating that the phone is expected to be released in the second half of 2025. It will continue to use the true full-screen design, and the screen resolution is expected to reach 2K. The selfie capability of the previous generation model, which was criticized, has also been greatly improved.
