Xiaomi is gearing up to revolutionize car safety with a new patent that aims to identify accidents and alert emergency contacts. This technology is expected to be a key feature in Xiaomi’s first electric vehicle (EV), the Modena, which is anticipated to debut by the end of the year.

For Level 1 accidents, a text message is sent to the emergency contact, while Level 2 accidents trigger a notification message and an emergency call to the service center.

Smart Communication Control

During an emergency, the system prioritizes communication with emergency services, rejecting calls from other contacts. It also sets a timer for emergency rescue, ensuring that if help does not arrive within a set period, another call is made to the emergency contact.
