Xiaomi’s largest battery phone ever is here! The Xiaomi 17 Max has been certified for network access.

According to Fast Technology on April 15, a mysterious new Xiaomi phone with the model number “2605EPN8EC” has passed the radio approval of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and is expected to be the Xiaomi 17 Max.

Given that Xiaomi will release the REDMI K90 Max on April 21, this new Xiaomi 17 Max should be released in May.

This phone is quite different from the previous Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. It has abandoned the more distinctive back screen design and used the saved space to pack a larger battery capacity. The previously revealed battery capacity is 7850mAh/typical value 8000mAh±, which is also the largest capacity battery for a Xiaomi brand mobile phone.

In terms of charging, the Xiaomi 17 Max is expected to maintain 100W wired fast charging + 50W wireless fast charging, and be compatible with the 100W PPS protocol.

In addition, the imaging system will also undergo some changes. The main camera uses a Samsung ISOCELL HP series 200-megapixel sensor, paired with a Sony IMX8 series 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, covering all focal length shooting needs.

The camera module is expected to be consistent with the standard version, with a simpler appearance. In fact, it can be seen as a larger-screen version of the Xiaomi 17.

Equipped with the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra, along with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, it boasts top-tier specifications.

In terms of price, the Xiaomi 17 Max is expected to be slightly more expensive than the standard Xiaomi 17, possibly matching the price of the Xiaomi 17 Pro, starting at 4999 yuan.
