Xiaomi’s Xuanjie O3 will rival the performance of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8E5

A blogger revealed on social media that the performance of Xiaomi’s next-generation Xuanjie chip will be comparable to Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8E5 flagship chip.

The previous generation of self-developed chip Xuanjie O1 has achieved an AnTuTu score of over 3 million and a single-core test score of over 3,000 on the GeekBench platform. Its performance is close to that of the Snapdragon 8E chip of the same period, firmly placing it in the first tier of flagship chips in the industry.

As a new product in the subsequent iteration, the Xuanjie O3 is expected to reach an AnTuTu score of 4 million, with overall performance close to that of the Snapdragon 8E5. The chip is manufactured based on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process and is also Xiaomi’s most powerful self-developed chip to date.

Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing previously revealed in a live broadcast that an iterative version of the Xuanjie chip will be launched in the second half of this year. He clearly stated that this is a self-developed chip with very strong comprehensive capabilities, and a flagship product with outstanding performance will be equipped with this chip in the future.

Based on previous leaks, Xiaomi’s upcoming foldable flagship MIX Fold 5, to be released in the second half of the year, will most likely be the first mass-produced model to feature the Xuanjie O3 chip, directly unleashing the performance advantages of its self-developed chip.

The continuous iteration and implementation of the Xuanjie chip has directly broken the long-standing industry pattern of international chip giants monopolizing the high-end mobile phone chip design field. Going forward, the Xuanjie chip’s application will not be limited to mobile phones, but will extend to tablets, smart cars, and all categories of IoT devices, becoming the core computing power support foundation for Xiaomi’s comprehensive ecosystem strategy.

The official launch of the Xuanjie chip is not only a technological breakthrough for Xiaomi, but also a microcosm of the transformation of China’s semiconductor industry from “manufacturing” to “creation ,” giving a strong boost to the self-developed chip process of the entire domestic consumer electronics industry.
