The Xiaomi 17 Pro series features a Mi Home Camera Card on the back screen: unlock with face and view anytime.

According to Fast Technology on June 10, more than half a year after the release of the Xiaomi 17 Pro series, the Magic Screen is still continuously adding new features.

Today, the official announcement revealed the launch of the “Mi Home Camera Card” with its rear screen, allowing users to easily view home surveillance footage by simply raising their phones.

A facial recognition verification process will be conducted before viewing the content, ensuring privacy and security.

Compared to the normal step-by-step process of opening apps and cameras, using the card on the back screen is more convenient and faster.

As one of the core selling points of the Xiaomi 17 Pro series, the Magic Screen has rich interactive capabilities, including support for making and receiving calls, music control, taxi information display, and rear camera selfie preview.

In addition, the back screen function has also gradually supported a number of practical features such as dialogue translation, video teleprompter, and electronic pet.

With a dedicated gaming phone case, users can even play games like Angry Birds and Snake directly on the back screen.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro series has a 2.66-inch rear screen. Xiaomi President Lu Weibing previously revealed that this rear screen was created at a huge cost, costing 10 small goals, or 1 billion yuan.

It’s worth noting that the leak suggests the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will retain the rear screen design, at which point the rear screen ecosystem should be even more complete.
