Android 17 official version released! 8 major domestic brands have started beta testing.

Fast Technology reported that Google has pushed out the official Android 17 update to Pixel devices. This update covers 21 Pixel models, including the entire Pixel 6 to Pixel 10 series of mobile phones, as well as the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold foldable devices. Eligible users have already received the official update notification.

It’s worth mentioning that, in addition to Google itself, many mainstream mobile phone brands have also started testing the Android 17 beta version. Brands participating in the adaptation plan include Honor, iQOO, Lenovo, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Sharp, vivo, and Xiaomi. Eight of these brands are domestic brands, and domestic manufacturers are already at the forefront of the global industry in terms of speed in keeping up with the new version of the Android system.

The first batch of devices granted access to the Android 17 beta version are mostly high-end flagship models from various manufacturers, including Honor Magic8 Pro, iQOO 15, Lenovo YOGA Tab Plus, OnePlus 15, OPPO Find X9 Pro, Realme GT8 Pro, Sharp AQUOS sense10, vivo X300 Pro, Xiaomi 17 series and Xiaomi 15T series, etc.

Among all the brands participating in this adaptation program, Xiaomi has the most open testing models, with a total of four devices supporting the Android 17 beta version: Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition, and Xiaomi 15T Pro. Other brands have only opened testing qualifications for a single flagship model.

It should be noted that the current Android 17 beta version is primarily intended for developers to perform application adaptation and debugging. The system itself still has many unfixed compatibility bugs and is not suitable for installation on everyday primary devices.

In the second half of the year, major mobile phone brands will successively release localized OSes based on Android 17, adapted with exclusive functions to suit the usage habits of domestic users. Their overall performance is highly anticipated.
