The vivo X Fold6, featuring the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition, is now available for pre-order!

Fast Technology reported that the vivo X Fold6 is now available for pre-order on major e-commerce platforms. Product page information shows that the vivo X Fold6 offers four color options: Blue Hole, Salt Lake, Midnight, and Black Gold. It comes in four configurations: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. The Black Gold version is only available with the 16GB+1TB configuration.

As Vivo’s current top-of-the-line foldable flagship, the vivo X Fold6 is the world’s first to be equipped with the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition flagship mobile platform.

vivo product manager Han Boxiao said that the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition is a mobile SoC specially tailored for the large folding form factor. The vivo team started a joint layout with MediaTek as early as two years ago. It is not a simple adaptation after obtaining the public version chip, but a deep customization development of the whole chain from scratch.

This dedicated Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chip boasts a 111% increase in peak NPU performance compared to the previous generation of flagship chips, while also optimizing power consumption by 56%. This achieves the remarkable effect of doubling computing power and halving power consumption, which is the core reason why this chip is named the Super Edition.

In terms of imaging configuration, the vivo X Fold6 is equipped with a Samsung 200-megapixel main camera and also supports external telephoto lenses. It is also the first foldable flagship in the industry to support external Zeiss telephoto lenses, and its imaging expandability far exceeds that of other foldable products in the same price range, which can fully meet the external shooting needs of professional photography enthusiasts.
