Apple Intelligence consumes too much memory! iPhone 16 series are equipped with 8GB of memory

based on information from multiple sources, it is a foregone conclusion that all four models of the iPhone 16 series this year will come standard with 8GB of memory.

But it should be noted that this is not Apple’s act of kindness to squeeze the toothpaste, but it has no choice but to do so.

According to people familiar with the matter, the latest Apple Intelligence launched on Apple iOS 18 consumes a lot of memory, and models with less than 8GB cannot fully use the functions. This is why only the iPhone 15 Pro currently supports it.

It is reported that Apple Intelligence supports natural language understanding, supports analysis of user content and instructions in different applications, can automatically polish emails, summarize memos, and generate images. It also supports text-to-image functions and provides a variety of styles such as sketches, illustrations and animations.

In addition to memory, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will also be upgraded to the A18 chip, further improving AI performance, while the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be A18 Pro.

In other aspects, the iPhone 16 Pro series will increase the screen size to 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively, while the standard version will be 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches.

Another major change in the iPhone 16 series is the change to capacitive touch volume buttons and power buttons, and the use of the Taptic Engine motor to simulate the tactile feedback of physical keys, similar to the pressure-sensitive Home button on models such as iPhone 7/8/SE2.
