Challenging Huawei and Samsung! Apple’s foldable iPhone revealed

 Apple plans to launch two foldable devices in 2026, one is a foldable iPhone and the other is a foldable iPad.

The report pointed out that Apple signed a panel supply contract for the foldable iPhone with the supply chain in late July. The new product will adopt a vertical folding design, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series.

Another foldable iPad is also under development, which Apple may also name the MacBook full-screen version. The screen size when unfolded is 18.8 inches.

Currently in the field of foldable screens, Huawei and Samsung have the largest shipments. According to a report released by market research firm Counterpoint Research, Huawei’s foldable screen shipments in the first quarter of 2024 increased by 257%, accounting for 35% of the global market.

This is mainly due to the hot sales of its Mate X5 and Pocket 2 series. Samsung followed closely behind with a market share of 23% in Q1 2024.

Apple is now intensively developing foldable screens. In the future, Apple will challenge the two giants Huawei and Samsung, and the competition in the foldable screen market will become more intense.
