Geekbench Unveils Key Specifications of the iQOO 15R

iQOO is gearing up to introduce its new smartphone, the iQOO 15R in the Indian market in the near future. So far, the company has only showcased the device’s design leaving most of its specifications a mystery. However, recent Geekbench data has shed some light on the device revealing the processor that will be running behind the scenes.

A Geekbench database entry for the iQOO 15R which carries the model code I2508 has revealed key information about its processor. According to the listing, the smartphone features an octa core processor configuration consisting of two high performance cores running at 3.8GHz and six additional cores clocked at 3.32GHz. The inclusion of the Adreno 829 GPU in the listing further supports the speculation that the iQOO 15R is likely driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC.

The iQOO 15R unit that appeared on Geekbench was running Android 16 and featured 8GB of RAM. That said, it is highly likely that the smartphone will be offered in additional memory configurations at launch which have not yet been revealed. As far as performance is concerned the smartphone achieved a score of 2,590 in the single core test and 8,423 in the multi core test on Geekbench. Additionally, it posted a GPU benchmark score of 21,075 highlighting its graphical capabilities.

According to iQOO’s promotional messaging, the iQOO 15R is positioned as a smartphone designed to deliver “power packed performance with a perfect fit.” Additionally, industry rumors suggest that the device could be a rebranded version of the iQOO Z11 Turbo which made its official debut in the Chinese market just last week.

If these claims hold true the iQOO 15R is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The smartphone is also likely to run OriginOS 6 and feature a 6.59 inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,260p resolution. On the camera front it may sport a 32MP front facing camera while the rear could feature a dual camera setup comprising a 200MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens.

Powering the iQOO 15R will be a high capacity 7,600 mAh Si/C battery that supports ultra fast 100W charging allowing users to recharge the device in a matter of minutes. Among its other notable features the device will reportedly include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded under the display the ability to charge other devices via reverse wired charging and robust protection with both IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
