Google Nexus 5 being tested for Android N Update

There is no doubt that the LG manufactured Google Nexus 5 is one of the most famous Nexus devices ever built and hence, the latest version of android, Android N is now being confirmed testing on the same. As you might already know Google just released the very first developer preview for the latest nexus devices including the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus Player and Pixel C. However the Nexus 5 did not make it this time, this didn’t come as a surprise as the device has aged well and we never were too sure about Google’s plan to update it once Android N hits the final phase.

Not to mention, the device is perfectly capable of handling the latest version of android and Google did gave the Nexus 4 a long run in terms of official android update. TheBleg points out that Nexus 5 owners could be in for a surprise, as Google is testing Android N for the device. As evident from the Google Git repository for the Android N preview, the Nexus 5 (hammerhead) is tagged in its code dating from yesterday. The company hasn’t made official statement regarding the phone just yet, but this is definitely proof that the Nexus 5 could be in the basket of devices to receive the latest Android flavor. Stay tuned for more updates on this topic, as we are on it.
