Fang Fei pointed out that the design of this feature was inspired by listening to the voices of many users. Traditional Live Photo shooting often relies on skill in the middle and luck at the beginning and end.

Because the core of traditional live photography is still a photograph, the moment the shutter is pressed is the fixed frame, and the approximately 1.5 seconds of footage before and after are automatically recorded by the system. What the user can control is often only the instant the shutter falls; as for how the shot begins and how it ends, it is often left to luck.

This time, Honor aims to take Live Photos a step further, evolving from simply recording the moment the shutter is pressed into creating a more controlled Live Video. To make these 3 seconds more cinematic, Honor added two key elements: a cinematic widescreen aspect ratio and ARRI-level color. The classic 2.39:1 widescreen aspect ratio imbues ordinary street scenes, travel landscapes, and character entrances with a stronger sense of space and narrative. Simultaneously, the ARRI Look Library is fully integrated, offering 9 themes and 87 cinematic looks, allowing users to find suitable emotional expressions for different scenarios.

Moreover, it retains the advantages of Live’s easy shooting and convenient posting, while returning the initiative of shooting to the user. No professional equipment or complicated post-processing is required. Just press and hold for 3 seconds to turn a glance, an evening breeze, or a journey into a movie clip with camera movement, composition, and color.
