Huawei Mate 80 series will be equipped with SmartSens SC595XS

Huawei’s new phone will be equipped with SC595XS, which is the 50-megapixel mobile phone CMOS image sensor released by SmartSens last month.

Combined with previous news, the Huawei Mate 80 series should be equipped with this lens, and it is expected to be used as the main camera.

It is reported that SC595XS has a large 1/1.28-inch bottom and is based on SmartSens SuperPixGain HDR technology, achieving an ultra-high dynamic range of up to 110dB, which is a significant improvement of about 22dB compared with the previous generation products on the same platform.

Therefore, SC595XS can help mobile phone cameras capture more details in bright and dark areas in environments with strong contrast between light and dark and complex lighting conditions, reduce the occurrence of overexposure of highlights in photos and videos, loss of details in dark areas, and effectively solve the shooting problems of traditional pain point scenes such as backlighting, local strong light, and interweaving of light and dark.

In addition, SC595XS supports 4K 60fps SuperPixGain HDR ultra-high dynamic range video and 4K 120fps ultra-high frame rate video recording.

SC595XS has a large pixel size of 1.22μm. Based on SmartSens’ patented SFCPixel-2 technology, it uses a SF center design to improve sensitivity while reducing noise.

It supports dual-mode adaptive fast focus. In dark scenes, you can turn on the AllPix ADAF mode to achieve high-speed and accurate fast focus through 100% full-pixel focus.

Overall, SmartSens SC595XS is a top-level domestic lens, especially its ultra-high dynamic range, which is in line with the imaging layout of today’s domestic high-end flagships.

According to reports, Huawei’s Mate 80 series will be launched at the end of the year, with the Kirin 9030 flagship chip as the first release. It will include four models: Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+ and Mate 80 RS.
