Honor Magic9 Super Edition released: 11000mAh Qinghai Lake battery

The Honor Magic9 Super Edition was officially released today.
The 12GB+256GB version is priced at 4499 yuan, the 12GB+512GB version at 4999 yuan, and the 16GB+512GB version at 5499 yuan. The first sale will begin at 16:08 on September 28th.

As a flagship product in the Honor Magic9 series that emphasizes high performance and long battery life, the Honor Magic9 Super Edition focuses on enhancing battery, heat dissipation, and gaming experience. It
not only introduces an active cooling fan for the first time in the Magic series, but also features an 11000mAh ultra-large capacity Qinghai Lake battery, making it the highest battery capacity in the history of flagship phones.

Battery life is one of the most significant upgrades in the Honor Magic9 Super Edition.

The new phone is equipped with an 11000mAh Qinghai Lake battery with an energy density of 963Wh/L. A full charge can provide more than 20 hours of outdoor navigation, more than 7.5 hours of indoor gaming, and more than 33 hours of video playback. While significantly increasing capacity, it also takes into account the thickness and weight of the entire device.

The Honor Magic9 Super Edition is only 8.1mm thick and weighs about 227g. Despite having a large battery and an active cooling system, it still maintains a relatively thin and light design.

In terms of charging, the new phone supports 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, which can cover the battery life needs of daily use, long-term gaming, and high-intensity outdoor scenarios.

The Honor Magic9 Super Edition is equipped with the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra flagship platform and is the first in the Magic series to incorporate a new generation of Honor Dongfeng Turbine Cooling Fan with a speed of up to 30,000 RPM, improving heat dissipation efficiency by 30% to enhance performance under continuous high load scenarios.

Compared to traditional passive cooling solutions such as vapor chambers and graphite, active cooling can improve the efficiency of heat exchange inside the device by accelerating airflow. In high-load scenarios such as long-term gaming, it helps to reduce chip frequency reduction and frame rate fluctuations caused by heat accumulation.

It is understood that the fan supports both intelligent and manual modes. The intelligent mode can automatically adjust the fan speed according to the body temperature and usage scenario, stopping the fan when the temperature is low and increasing the speed when the temperature is high. In terms of imaging, the new phone features a 50-megapixel front-facing camera and a triple-lens rear camera setup, including a 200-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto lens.

In terms of ID design, the Honor Magic9 Super Edition offers four color options: Curtain Black, Opening White, Olive Green, and Popcorn Yellow. It adopts a horizontal large matrix Deco design, in which the air intake is integrated into the back camera module, and the air outlet is hidden at the bottom of the module. While incorporating an active heat dissipation structure, it tries to maintain the visual integrity of the back as much as possible.
