Huawei Mate X5: Unmatched Screen Durability and Resistance With Kunlun Glass Technology

The Huawei Mate X5 recently underwent an extreme test, sliding down a 500+ meter-long ice track, and emerged unscathed, showcasing its remarkable durability and resistance to damage.

This test not only challenged the phone’s screen’s resistance to impacts but also its ability to withstand constant friction against the rough ice surface, a true testament to its scratch-resistant qualities.

The Mate X5’s impressive durability can be attributed to its use of Xuanwu-tempered Kunlun glass. This material significantly enhances the phone’s resistance to scratches and impacts, making it one of the most durable phones on the market.

The Xuanwu tempered Kunlun glass is a result of Huawei’s second-generation Kunlun glass technology, combined with Xuanwu tempering. This combination has improved the screen’s scratch resistance by 300% and the overall drop resistance of the device by 100%.

The Mate X5 has also achieved the world’s first Swiss SGS gold standard five-star anti-scratch and drop-resistant certification. Its outer screen hardness reaches Mohs level 7, meaning it can resist scratches from everyday items like keys, scissors, or makeup containers.

In addition to its outer screen’s durability, the Mate X5’s inner screen is also noteworthy. It uses an anti-impact non-Newtonian fluid material that is soft during slow bending but becomes hard upon fast impact, offering a unique “strong when met with strength, soft when met with softness” impact resistance.

The Mate X5 is also the industry’s strongest water-resistant folding screen phone, supporting IPX8 level water resistance and wet hand touch control, ensuring precise operation even under various liquid spills.

In summary, the Huawei Mate X5 sets a new standard for folding screen phone durability with its innovative Xuanwu tempered Kunlun glass and advanced materials. Its ability to withstand extreme conditions and everyday wear and tear makes it stand out in the smartphone market for reliability and resilience.
