OnePlus Ace 7 series Pro version returns: Built-in cooling fan squeezes the Snapdragon 8E5 processor to its limits

Fast Technology reported that blogger Digital Chat Station revealed key specifications of the OnePlus Ace 7 series.

According to leaks, the OnePlus Ace 7 series will be divided into a standard version and a Pro version. The Pro version will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8E5 flagship platform and have a built-in active cooling fan. The engineering sample will offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage space.

The Snapdragon 8E5 is Qualcomm’s flagship platform launched last year. It’s manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process and features a third-generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU, comprising two 4.6GHz cores and six 3.62GHz cores. This platform easily surpasses 4 million points in AnTuTu benchmark tests, representing a significant performance improvement over its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8E.

Building upon this, the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro also features a built-in cooling fan, making it OnePlus’s first performance phone to support active cooling. Compared to traditional passive cooling, the cooling fan actively removes heat from inside the device, effectively solving the problem of heat buildup under high loads and significantly improving heat dissipation efficiency.

In high-load gaming scenarios, chips will heat up rapidly when running at full load continuously. Fans can accelerate airflow, quickly dissipate heat, reduce performance throttling triggered by temperature increases, and allow the processor to maintain full output for extended periods, effectively ensuring frame rate stability.

Even under heavy workloads like AI computing and high-definition video editing, the fan effectively keeps the overall temperature under control, preventing localized overheating and improving grip. Passive cooling is limited by the chassis space, making it difficult to dissipate heat quickly once it accumulates. The addition of a fan breaks this bottleneck, fully unleashing the theoretical performance of the hardware.

In addition, the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro will also feature a large, ultra-high refresh rate flat screen. The new product will be officially unveiled in the second half of this year.
