Huawei Terminal’s official Weibo account announced that Huawei’s Pura 70 series is the first to support China Mobile’s Beidou satellite SMS function.
Huawei said that it can send and receive information even in areas where ground network signals cannot reach, such as deep mountains and plateaus.
It is understood that the models that support China Mobile’s Beidou satellite SMS are Huawei Pura 70 Beidou Satellite Message Edition, Huawei Pura 70 Pro, Huawei Pura 70 Pro+, and Huawei Pura 70 Ultra . The Huawei Pura 70 standard version does not currently support this function.
Users can send KTBD to 10086 to activate China Mobile’s Beidou satellite SMS service. This function is only available in mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan).
It is reported that at this year’s 2024 World Mobile Communications Conference, China Mobile’s booth showed that it is about to launch the Beidou SMS service.
At present, all Huawei Pura 70 series except the standard version support Beidou satellite messages. Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ and Huawei Pura 70 Ultra not only support Beidou satellite messages, but also support Tiantong satellite communication function.
