Huawei Pura 90 Ultra’s design revealed: A horizontally aligned large matrix lens design maximizes its recognizability.

Fast Technology reported that the Huawei Pura series, one of Huawei’s two flagship series, typically releases its latest models in the first half of each year. Unlike the Mate series, which targets business users, the Huawei Pura series focuses more on improving imaging capabilities and is currently one of the most influential domestic imaging flagships.

Entering 2026, Huawei will launch the Pura 90 series in Q2 of this year, which is expected to include four models: Pura 90, Pura 90 Pro, Pura 90 Pro+ (Pura 90 Pro Max) and Pura 90 Ultra .

The Pura 90 Ultra will be Huawei’s most powerful imaging flagship ever. A blogger has shared a rendering of the Pura 90 Ultra’s appearance , which features a horizontal large matrix lens design. On this basis, it retains the iconic triangular camera DECO of the Huawei Pura series, making it highly recognizable.

In terms of hardware configuration, the standard version of the Huawei Pura 90 is equipped with the Kirin 9020 chip, the Pura 90 Pro with the Kirin 9030 chip, and the Ultra version with the Kirin 9030 Pro chip. They may come with the HarmonyOS 6.1 operating system pre-installed.

It’s worth mentioning that the entire Huawei Pura 90 series has returned to a flat screen design with a 1.5K resolution. The standard version has a 6.58-inch screen, while the Ultra version will be equipped with a dual-layer OLED screen and will also support 3D face recognition.
