Vivo is preparing to launch its new smartphone the X200T, in India on January 27. Alongside this launch, there are reports suggesting that the brand could release the V70 and V70 Elite models in India in the coming month. While Vivo has kept details about the V70 series under wraps a render of the V70 Elite has recently leaked online, showing what the design of the phone could potentially be.

Sources suggest that the Vivo V70 will launch in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow color options, while the V70 Elite is likely to be offered in Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Black. A render of the V70 Elite has recently appeared online showing the smartphone in its black version. The image reveals a flat display a glass-and-metal build, and a squircle-shaped camera island on the rear, hinting at the premium design Vivo may be bringing to this new model.

According to sources the Vivo V70 Elite is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, while the standard V70 will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. Both smartphones are expected to offer a 6.59-inch FullHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate for a smoother viewing experience. In terms of battery both phones are expected to include large 6,500 mAh cell, along with 90W fast charging support, ensuring extended usage and rapid charging times.

The Vivo V70 and V70 Elite are expected to come with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 pre-installed offering users the latest software experience right out of the box. On the back both the V70 and V70 Elite are expected to include a triple-camera configuration, which is said to comprise a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x ZEISS Night capabilities, designed to deliver better performance in low-light conditions.

Both Vivo V70 and V70 Elite are expected to include camera features specifically tailored for the Indian market. Among these is an AI Holi Festival Portrait Mode aimed at helping users to take stunning pictures during the festival. Additionally the smartphones are expected to offer AI Magic Weather and Flower Blessing features, which are developed to capture local traditions and celebrations in a visually appealing way, reflecting cultural nuances in every shot.

The Vivo V70 and V70 Elite are reportedly expected to make their debut in India around the middle of February, with a starting price that is believed to be below INR 55,000.
