Inspired by the classic ARRI cinema camera! Honor Magic9 Pro Max photo gallery

Honor will officially launch its new Honor Magic9 series smartphones on September 28th. The Honor Magic9 Pro Max has already arrived at our review lab, and below we present a photo gallery of the device.

This Honor Magic9 Pro Max comes in the “Moss Green” color option, where the body displays a delicate texture under light and shadow, evoking a retro feel unique to the film camera era. Besides Moss Green, this phone is also available in Shadow Black and Silver Halide colors. The Honor Magic9 and Magic9 Super Edition, on the other hand, offer four new colors: Popcorn Yellow, Olive Green, Curtain Black, and Opening White.

The device features a unibody design made of hot-forged aluminum with seamless construction. The rear camera module boasts a unique “Big Eye” design, with three iconic circular cameras arranged in a “1+2” triangle: a large circular lens on the left and two smaller circular lenses on the right. It also incorporates a periscope telephoto lens. The lens assembly features the ARRI co-branded imaging logo, making it highly recognizable. The screen is a 6.8-inch display with an ultra-narrow 0.98mm bezel, delivering a more immersive viewing experience.

Fang Fei, President of the Product Line at Honor Terminal Co., Ltd., introduced that the classic ARRIFLEX series cinema cameras, with their iconic “three-lens turret” design, ushered in a half-century era of professional cinema cameras.

This design philosophy, which balances industrial aesthetics with shooting efficiency, forms the initial memory of professional imaging for Honor and also became the source of inspiration for the Deco design of the Honor Magic9 series.

The Honor Magic9 series adopts the classic “1+2” layout, allowing users to have an immersive cinematic shooting experience from the moment they hold the phone and light enters the lens.

In terms of imaging, the Honor Magic9 series is equipped with the ARRI cinematic imaging system and features the self-developed Yuguang H1 imaging chip. In collaboration with the century-old film brand ARRI, this new Honor phone is expected to bring a revolutionary mobile video creation experience.
