According to Mark Gurman at Bloomberg, iOS 27 and presumably iPadOS 27 will deliver major enhancements to Apple Intelligence. These changes are part of a broader AI strategy, indicating that Apple is continuing to invest heavily in machine learning to make its ecosystem smarter and more responsive to user needs.
Those are some impressive claims but so far Gurman hasn’t revealed any specifics. iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 are scheduled to be officially announced during Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in June with availability expected next September, coinciding with the release of the iPhone 18 series.
The details of Apple’s upcoming AI upgrades remain a mystery but the company’s AI track record has been modest, particularly compared to Google and even Samsung in some ways.
