iPhone 17 series adds Slim model, all models support ProMotion high refresh rate

the biggest change in the iPhone 17 series next year is that Apple has cut off the Plus version and added a new “iPhone 17 Slim” model.

In addition, the iPhone 17 Slim has made bold innovations in its appearance design, adopting a thinner and lighter body design. The camera island is placed horizontally, and its shape is similar to the Google Pixel 8 Pro.

In terms of screen, the iPhone 17 Slim uses a 6.55-inch screen, which fills the gap between the standard version and the Pro Max version, making the iPhone 17 series more affordable.

In addition, it was revealed that the iPhone 17 Slim supports ProMotion high refresh rate. This will be the first non-Pro model in the history of iPhone to support high refresh rate. The standard version of iPhone 17 will also receive this upgrade.

Compared with the standard 60Hz refresh rate, the advantage of ProMotion is that it takes into account both smoothness and battery life, and can automatically adjust the refresh rate according to the content displayed on the screen instead of maintaining a fixed rate of 120Hz. This design can significantly reduce power consumption.
