Fast Technology reported that Lenovo Legion officially released a teaser for its new product, confirming the official launch of the AI gaming tablet Legion Y700 Wuji in August . The biggest highlights of the new device are its ultra-narrow bezels on all four sides and its extremely thin and light body, making it easy to hold and play with one hand.
This tablet features a design with equal width on all four sides, with a uniform bezel width of 2.89mm . The black borders are very narrow, resulting in a significantly improved screen-to-body ratio compared to the previous generation, providing a more immersive experience for gaming and watching videos.
The device weighs only 298g and is 6.5mm thick, which is much lighter than its predecessor which weighed around 340g . It is less likely to cause wrist fatigue when holding it for a long time, and it is easy to carry in a pocket or small bag.
The screen is an 8.4-inch OLED gaming screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a pixel density of 359 PPI, supports a 165Hz high refresh rate, an instantaneous touch sampling rate of 3400Hz, and a screen response of only 0.3ms, making shooting and competitive mobile games smooth and lag-free.
The screen has a peak brightness of 4000 nits and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 wide color gamut, making the color viewing experience much better than the old LCD screen.
It also offers ample eye protection features, with six layers of hardware protection and four software optimizations. It features full DC dimming for medium and high brightness, 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for low brightness, and harmful blue light content of less than 6.75%. It has obtained three certifications: TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 5.0, low blue light, and flicker-free, so it is not easy to strain your eyes when watching dramas or playing games for a long time.
The back of the phone features a minimalist design and is equipped with a 50-megapixel single camera with an RGB light ring around the lens. The phone also features a large LEGION logo, making it highly recognizable.
As the first 5G tablet in the series, it supports dual SIM dual standby with a physical SIM card and a built-in data card . With distributed multi-antenna technology, it won’t block the signal when held horizontally for gaming. It also supports the mainstream 5G frequency band N79, allowing you to access the internet and make calls independently without connecting to a mobile hotspot.
In terms of performance, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 8E5 Leading Edition chip, paired with LPDDR5T memory and UFS4.1 Pro flash memory, achieving an AnTuTu score of over 4.53 million, and can run large mobile games stably at high graphics settings.
Built-in Tianxi AI, it supports functions such as AI note-taking, simultaneous interpretation, and AI drawing, catering to both gaming and daily office work.
With its slim and narrow bezel design and independent 5G network, this small gaming tablet addresses the shortcomings of its predecessor, making it suitable for users who are frequently on the go and enjoy mobile games. The full configuration will be announced at the August launch event.
