Fast Technology reported that a Xiaomi fan commented that the price of the REDMI K90 Max was simply unbeatable. In response, a REDMI product manager admitted that they were genuinely selling at a loss.

The REDMI K90 Max starts at 2999 yuan, but after government subsidies, the price drops to just 2549.15 yuan. Regarding the question of whether this product is profitable, Xiaomi President Lu Weibing bluntly stated that it “loses money.”

This exceptional price-performance ratio triggered a buying frenzy as soon as the phone hit the market. According to official data, the phone broke the sales record for new phones in the 3,000 to 4,000 yuan price range within just 4 hours of its initial sale, demonstrating an extremely enthusiastic market response.

As the most powerful performance champion in the K series ever, the REDMI K90 Max is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 flagship platform. This chip is based on TSMC’s 3nm process, with a main frequency of up to 4.21GHz, and its comprehensive benchmark score exceeds 4.16 million.

To further enhance graphics performance, the chassis integrates the D2 dedicated gaming graphics chip. Compared to the previous generation, its graphics performance is improved by 33%, while power consumption is reduced by 42%.
