Nothing OS 4.0 Open Beta Brings Android 16 to Nothing Phone 3a & 3a Pro

Nothing introduced the Android 16-based Nothing OS 4.0 last month and rolled out the first Open Beta for the Nothing Phone (3), Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus earlier this month. Although the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro were initially left out, they are now included in the Open Beta program.

Nothing Phone (3a) Pro

The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, featuring 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, is available for €399.00. The latest Nothing OS 4.0 Open Beta introduces a refreshed icon design for both the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, along with a new “Stretch” Camera mode created in collaboration with photographer Jordan Hemingway.

Nothing Phone (3a)

The Nothing Phone (3a) offers 128GB storage with 8GB RAM or 256GB storage with 12GB RAM, priced at $445 (€308.20) and $455 (€349.00) respectively. Its latest Nothing OS includes a camera preset that enhances shadow depth and highlight range, delivering professional-looking cinematic results without the need for external editing tools.

Additionally, Nothing OS 4.0 Open Beta introduces Lock Glimpse, a feature that displays high-quality wallpapers on your phone’s lock screen. Wallpapers are organized into nine categories, and the lock screen can also show timely updates and useful content to enhance your experience.

Nothing Phone (3) 5G

The Nothing Phone (3) 5G is available in two configurations. The base model comes with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, priced at $799 (€739.22), while the higher-end model offers 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM for $899 (€773.84).

Nothing Phone (2)

The Nothing Phone (2) is available in two configurations: a 256GB model with 12GB RAM priced at $639.99 (around £380), and a 512GB model with 12GB RAM costing $699.99. The Nothing OS 4.0 Open Beta for the Phone (3a) series retains all the features of the previous Open Beta, giving users early access to the latest updates before the official release.

Nothing Phone (2a)

The Nothing Phone (2a) comes in 128GB with 8GB RAM for $369.99 (or €279.19) and 256GB with 12GB RAM for $309.99 (roughly €226.72). Anyone interested in trying the beta can follow the installation instructions at the Source link, but enrollment closes on November 7.

Nothing Phone (2a) Plus

For those looking at the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, there is a 256GB model with 8GB RAM priced at ₹21,439, and a 256GB model with 12GB RAM available for €289. It’s important to note that beta software can be less stable than official releases and may contain bugs, so it’s generally not recommended to install it on a primary device.
