The Nothing Phone 2a, set to be the third smartphone from Nothing, is scheduled for release on March 5th. Following the design ethos of its predecessors, the Nothing Phone 2a will retain the distinctive LED lights and transparent back panel that have become synonymous with the brand’s aesthetic.
Promotional materials reveal that the Nothing Phone 2a will feature a rear camera setup aligned vertically towards the center of the back panel, diverging from the more common placements seen in other smartphones.
As an entry-level model within the Nothing Phone lineup, the 2a is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 mobile platform. This chipset, manufactured using TSMC’s second-generation 4nm process, includes a CPU configuration of 2 x 2.8GHz Cortex-A715 cores and 6 Cortex-A510 cores, alongside a Mali-G610 MC4 GPU. The device is anticipated to come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, running on the Nothing OS operating system.
Nothing has officially announced that the Nothing Phone 2a will be unveiled at 6:30 AM Eastern Time on March 5th, marking another significant addition to the company’s smartphone offerings.
