Nubia enters the 1.5K true full-screen era! Z70 Ultra debuts 1.5K under-screen camera technology

Nubia President Ni Fei recently warmed up for the upcoming Nubia Z70 Ultra, confirming that the model will adopt a true full-screen design and become the world’s first true full-screen flagship phone equipped with Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition.

In a pre-launch Weibo post, Ni Fei expressed dissatisfaction with the phenomenon of mixed screen use in the industry, pointing out that some manufacturers have failed to live up to consumers’ trust, lacking innovation in design, with “all machines looking the same”, and poor quality control, with “one machine with thousands of faces”.

He stressed that it is not good for the entire industry for consumers to spend money to buy products but have to “draw a lottery”. Therefore, he specifically asked the product team to ensure that the screens of all Nubia products, including the upcoming Z70 Ultra, must have consistent quality control, and the full screen must have no negative reviews and all-round positive reviews, so as to win the recognition of consumers with practical actions.

According to leaks, the Nubia Z70 Ultra will be the first to launch 1.5K full-area high-resolution under-screen camera technology, which is the highest resolution true full-screen to date.

This screen is jointly developed by Nubia and BOE. The BM black border is extremely narrow, and the display effect of the under-screen camera area is consistent with that of the screen display area, with no obvious resolution difference.

In terms of selfies, Nubia has equipped its new flagship with a new Lingtou algorithm and introduced generative AI fusion computing in the under-screen camera technology. It uses the AI depth engine to intelligently identify shooting scenes, adjust the algorithm according to different environments, and intelligently improve the image quality, ultimately presenting better selfie effects.

Compared with previous under-screen camera solutions, the 1.5K full-area high-resolution under-screen technology not only improves the screen resolution, but also achieves the perfect hiding of the front camera. It is currently the best UDC full-screen solution.
