The Tecno Camon 40 and Camon 40 Pro were released last May, and now it seems that their next versions are almost ready to be officially introduced to the public. The upcoming models, known as the Tecno Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro, have already been spotted on the Google Play Console. Being listed there usually provides a look at the front side of the phones along with some of the main specifications and features.
The Camon 50 comes equipped with a completely flat screen, which features a small, circular hole-punch cutout specifically designed for its front-facing selfie camera. Meanwhile the Camon 50 Pro features a curved display that bends slightly around the edges, along with a pill-shaped cutout in the screen where its selfie camera setup is located.
The Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro share several key specifications. Both models feature a screen resolution of 1080 by 2364 pixels ensuring sharp and clear display quality. They are powered by a MediaTek 4G processor, either the Helio G100 or G200, depending on the variant. Each phone also comes with 8GB of RAM, allowing multiple apps to run smoothly without slowing down. Additionally, both devices run Android 16 from the moment they are switched on, giving users immediate access to the latest features and improvements.
The Camon 40 series was first introduced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona last year. Because of this it is possible that the Camon 50 series will also be unveiled at MWC this year. We’ll let you know as soon as we have more details about the announcement.
