A new leak that surfaced today, and is said to have originated from within HyperOS 3 code, appears to provide early details about the battery capacity and charging specifications of Poco’s upcoming X-series smartphones.
According to the leak, the Poco X8 Pro is expected to feature a 6,500 mAh battery, while the higher-end Poco X8 Pro Max could come with a much larger 8,500 mAh battery. In addition, both models are expected to support 100W wired fast charging.
The Poco X8 Pro is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5, while the Poco X8 Pro Max is expected to be based on the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. Even so, both Poco phones are expected to come with somewhat smaller batteries than the Redmi versions. Still, the battery sizes will remain large, and the Poco X8 Pro Max is expected to feature the biggest battery ever used in a Poco phone.
If the Poco models are indeed based on the previously mentioned Redmi devices the Poco X8 Pro is expected to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1268 × 2756 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display may also feature 3,840Hz PWM dimming and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. The phone is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset and could be available with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, along with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. On the camera front, it is expected to include a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP front camera.
Meanwhile the Poco X8 Pro Max is expected to feature a slightly larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 × 2772 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is also expected to include 3,840Hz PWM dimming and reach a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. The device is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. It is also likely to carry the same camera specifications as the X8 Pro.
