OPPO’s major restructuring is complete! OnePlus and realme merge: a sub-brand business unit is established.

According to a report by Leifeng.com on April 29, OPPO has announced an internal merger of OnePlus and Realme, forming a sub-series business unit.

The newly established sub-series business unit is headed by OPPO Senior Vice President Li Bingzhong, who will oversee all aspects of its management.

Xu Qi, the former president of realme’s marketing and service division, has been appointed as the head of the business unit’s marketing and service division, and will be responsible for the marketing and service systems of OnePlus and realme.

Simultaneously, a sub-product center was established on the product side, with domestic and overseas product departments under it. Li Jie was appointed as the head, reporting directly to Liu Zuohu.

Wang Wei, former vice president of realme, has been appointed deputy general manager of the product center, reporting to Li Jie.

At the R&D level, the original realme R&D team has returned to OPPO Group as a whole, and the imaging, hardware and other related departments have been incorporated into OPPO’s corresponding system as secondary departments, achieving deep integration of technology and resources.

Prior to this integration, realme had already relocated to OPPO’s Marina Bay headquarters in batches. Going forward, the focus will be on promoting product line reuse, optimizing resource allocation, and improving the operational efficiency and market competitiveness of the two brands.

Earlier this year, OPPO released an internal letter announcing that realme would return to OPPO and become a sub-brand. realme, OnePlus and OPPO formed a strategic synergy, and realme CEO Li Bingzhong would be responsible for the overall sub-brand business.

Starting April 1, 2026, Realme’s after-sales service in China has been fully integrated into OPPO’s service network.
