Yesterday, a unseen listing for the Poco F8 Ultra appeared in the Geekbench online database, where a prototype of the device had completed a full performance test. The test listing confirmed that the device was running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip which tells us Poco is clearly preparing to deliver some high end performance with this model.
Today, the Poco F8 Pro appeared on Geekbench, confirming its use of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The tested prototype packed 12GB of RAM but it is likely that other memory option will be offered at launch.
The phone is set to launch with Android 16 out of the box along with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3. The F8 Pro have been spotted in certification lists in different countries. Interestingly, the F8 Pro box shows “Sound by Bose” suggesting the device will have high quality speakers or audio features.
If the F8 Ultra really is just a rebranded Redmi K90 Pro Max then it makes sense that the F8 Pro could simply mirror the Redmi K90.
If true, the device should come up with a 6.9 inch AMOLED display with 1200×2608 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 3,500 nit peak brightness and 2,560Hz PWM. Storage might go up to 1TB, featuring a triple rear camera setup (50MP main with OIS, 50MP periscope telephoto 5x zoom, 50MP ultrawide), a 32MP selfie camera, a Bose audio system with dual stereo speakers and a rear woofer and a 7,560 mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
